Submitting Work for Listening Sessions
An essential element of the Audio Listening Institute is hearing and discussing work produced by attendees. This gives producers the rare chance to receive valuable feedback about their own productions, offer thoughts to colleagues about their work, and learn from the impressions and constructive suggestions put forth by others throughout the weekend.
All attendees are invited to submit work for listening session consideration, but are not required to do so in order to attend the Institute. Please note: this is not a competition! Listening sessions will be curated especially to inspire thoughtful and revealing discussions about audio production and storytelling. Whether presenting work or not, you’ll be encouraged to participate actively in group discussions.
Guidelines for submissions:
• Producers submitting work should also be attending the Listening Institute.
• There’s no cost to submit work for consideration.
• Deadline for submissions is September 30, 2009, but earlier submissions are welcome. Encouraged, even.
• Producers whose work is chosen for listening sessions will be notified by mid-October.
• Submissions must be finished works.
• Submissions can last up to 25 minutes. Excerpts of longer pieces are accepted.
• All non-English submissions must include English transcripts.
• Include name, contact info, and brief summary with each submission.
• SOne submission per producer is accepted.
